Artist Statement of Tobi the Alien

 The purpose of me creating this animation is to touch on the interpretation of the origins of life/existence.  I created, Tobi an alien that has crash coursed into our world, Earth, through a cloudy vortex/portal.  He lands on  the desolated land and observes  the environment.  Through his butthole he secretes cannonballs into the land at rapid speed.  The cannonballs will morph into beautiful alien flowers that will germinate blooms of flowers throughout the land.  The alien flowers symbolizes the spiritual essence of the Earth and the alien that brings life.  The mood of this short is comedic to clearly relay the messages of "beauty of life" and "through ugly means begets goodness." I plan to use several effects that show the effects of creating life such as energy fields and light particles.  This projects is intended to showcase my growing abilities using After Effects and manipulation of static images.
   As an animator I seek to express my interpretation of our spiritual existence in the world and our interaction with each other.  My focusing genres I seek to communicate my ideals with are comedy and action.  These too genres I think help challenge, confront and reinforce my audience views, and beliefs in an indirect and subconscious matter.  It allows the viewer to feel less bombarded or attacked when you create moods that allows them to chill.  They are distracted with how funny my jokes/punts are or how much action is presented that they subconsciously  absorb the undertone meanings for later analysis.

New Character for Post Production

It opens to an alien ,Tobi,  entering our world through a cloud galaxy portal.  He is flying a rocket space ship and lands on a desolated part of the earth.  He exits the spaceship while mist pours out the floor beneath it.  The Tobi observes the environment and in amazement.  It yearns to make it more beautiful so it poops beautiful cannonballs out it’s butt.  As it lands on the ground, the balls morphs into living flowers.

Tobi's Purpose

He yearns to find a new planet that embraces his nature of creating beautiful things.  Nebulan, his home land has strict rule against this type of behavior so he sets off towards freedom.  Through a galactic storm, Tobi is abruptly sucked into a time rift and is drifted into the portal of our world.  Once he lands, he observes the desolated land he lands upon.  Seeing this depresses Tobi and he decides to spread his love of creation by bestowing upon the world alien flowers to germinate flower blooms across the land.

Final Ideas

  So I propose doing a puppet scene promoting my BFA Film, Bwakhaa!.  It will start with Deejay Hotsauce hiding behind his deejay equipment and notices Robin with a plate of chicken.  He jumps across to were she is and grabs for the chicken.  Robin smacks him on her hand but instead pulls out a bottle of hotsauce. I'm debating if I should put dialogue in this.  If so Robin would say "No, no, no, not without my special sauce."  She drizzles the sauce over the wings. Then Deejay Hotsauce grabs the wings and says "Girl, gimme yo Red Wings!"

Charcter Bios_Jimmy FooFoo & Mr. Knighting McKnight

Character Bio of Pyromaniac Jimmy FooFoo

         There is a reason why Jimmy is known as the Pyromaniac within his small community.  Causing five school fires, two forest fires and detouring firefighters on three occasions you gotta wonder why this blaze starter hasn’t been incarcerated or forbidden from this small community.  Due to the pleading of his mother, Mary Magdalene, the town members agreed to require Jimmy to repent for his sins and attend the local church.  They just don’t understand that Jimmy has an impulsive fascination of rippling flames and the brightness it emits.  Although being forced, he also wants to satisfy his mother so he attends the church in a ceremonial robe she bought for him at a very young age.  He enters the church and lights the candles but the flames were tempting him again.  With lack of self-control, he indulges in his sin one more time.

Character Bio_Mr. McKnight

            Mr. Knighting McKnight is an inspiring knight seeking the top rank position of the Elite Guards Round.  He wears homemade crafted armor and a steel sword passed down from his deceased father, Grand McKnight.  He wants to make his father and mother, a retired rogue pilot, proud and live up to their reputation of being famous extraordinary adventurers in town.  He sees an opportunity to show off his custom fighting style in front of the other cadets in training.  Observing the target practice dubbed, Dummy Jones, he saw an easy target.  As he slices the dummy with rapid strikes he is for certain this would be an easy victory.  All that he knew Mr. Dummy Jones had a plan to get the last laugh with a Total Knockout.
